I managed to get the Newsletter up, before ten. I’d already committed to staying up to get more done though.
It was basically a speed run of everything tonight.
I’m pretty proud of how the essay for this week turned out, but let me know what you think in the comments.
Here’s the summary essay for A Mystical Battle from Code of the Clans.
The main theme in A Mystical Battle is honour. The RiverClan cats feel honoured walking in the pawsteps of their ancestors, and fighting for what they fought for. Splashheart feels that deeply when, as a warrior, he fights for Sunningrocks and feels an ancestor beside him. He decided to honour all who fought for his Clan by bringing his catch to the elders first.
The main characters in the short story A Mystical Battle, from the guidebook Code of the Clans, include firstly Splashheart. Splashhearts old mentor, Reedshine is the next main character. The final main character is Darkstar, the leader of RiverClan. The other RiverClan and ThunderClan cats are not main characters.
The main situations in A Mystical Battle follow. Splashheart notices ThunderClan intrusing on Sunningrocks. Darkstar leads a counter attack to drive off the ThunderClan cats. Splashheart sees Reedshine get badly hurt. RiverClan feels defeated, but Darkstar rallies them saying they are not defeated until they stop fighting. The voice of a past RiverClan warrior aids Splashheart in the fight. Splashheart vows to honour their memory by making sure elders and kits are fed first.
So, let me know what you thought of this one.
Keep on reading.
