Midnight - Summary Essay

You might have noticed that I skipped the second series when I wrote the summary essays for the main arcs. I have The New Prophecy in the old designs (whereas all the other series I have in the new cover designs), so I filed them in a different place in my bookshelf.
Now I’m ready to go back and start tackling this series.
I’m a little worried. I’ve only read this series twice. The first time was when the library got it in, and back then, I sped through it.
The second time was after I had brought the series. I remembered enjoying it and wanted to reread it. However, I found I struggled to get through it. I hope it doesn’t feel so excruciating to read this time around.
It’s going well so far. Midnight took me a couple of days to read. But I did honestly enjoy it. I can’t say which part I liked most. There were several small things I wanted in each of the significant events, so I think the writing quality is much better than I remembered it.

So, here is the summary essay for the first book in The New Prophecy arc, Midnight.

orogical cover design of Warriors: Midnight

The central theme in Midnight is faith. People need to have faith in others, especially their family members, or any other group they might be part of for a time. It is also vital for them to have faith in themselves. The travelling cats need to have confidence in StarClan’s message. They learn to have more faith in one another and to care for each other. Leopardstar shows her faith in her warrior’s words at the gathering. Leafpaw has to have confidence in her connection with her sister, Squirrelpaw, and believe that she can help her.
The main characters in the story include the first protagonist, Brambleclaw, whose point of view tells a large portion of the story. The other cats on the journey, Squirrelpaw, his clanmate, from ThunderClan, Tawnypelt from ShadowClan, Crowpaw from WindClan, and Feathertail and Stormfur from RiverClan, are also main characters. The last protagonist is Leafpaw, whose point of view tells the rest of the story. There is no main antagonist in the book. Two legs are the antagonist often, but they do not appear enough to be a main character.
The main situations follow. Brambleclaw had a dream from StarClan. He goes to four trees to meet the other cats. Squirrelpaw follows him and learns about the prophecy. Brambleclaw dreams of the sun-drown place and the prophecy cats journey there. RiverClan lets WindClan drink from the river. The journeying cats have saltwater signs. A kittypet helps the journeying cats through twoleg place. At the next gathering, WindClan stops drinking from the river. The journeying cats meet Midnight the badger, who tells them all the clans must leave the forest.
