Path Of Stars - Summary

This is the final summary essay for the Dawn Of The Clans arc. This is on the sixth and final book, Path Of Stars.

The main theme in Path Of Stars is that you can’t change the past. What has happened in someone’s past affects who they have become. If someone has made mistakes in the past, they can only change their future to make up for them. Thunder concludes that he cannot change the past, but he can choose his future when he wonders what his life would have been like if Clear Sky raised him as he is his new kits. He tells his father this when Clear Sky thinks about the same thing. The leaders assent that they cannot judge their new rouge campmates on their past actions under Slash, and must instead look at their actions now.
The main characters in Path Of Stars include the three protagonists, Clear Sky, Thunder, and Grey Wing; and the main antagonist, Slash. Slash’s cats and the other cats in the groups are minor, or incidental in this book.
The main situations in the book are as follows. Grey Wing leads a group of cats to rescue Star Flower, while Slash I distracted. Slash’s group starts stealing prey. Slash’s group launches an attack on Wind Runner’s group. Thunder starts spying on Slash’s camp. Red leads a pack of dogs into Slash’s camp, and Slash abandons it, leaving many of his campmates behind. Those that Slash abandoned, join the other groups. Bee and Ember return to Slash’s group. Slash steals Slate and Grey Wing’s kit, Black Ear. Thunder, Clear Sky, and several other cats rescue Black Ear. Grey Wing dies at the end of the book.
