In The Sight, many cats struggle with finding their true calling, or path. Hollypaw at first believe she wants to be a medicine cat. She later realises she is better suited to the path of a warrior. This is after talking to Brook. When Brook was born, she was chosen as a prey-hunter for the Tribe, but in The Sight she shows that she can fight just as well as any warrior. Jaypaw also struggles. He wants to be a warrior, but eventually concedes that his blindness greatly impedes him on that path, and his skills and memory fr he's better suit him to the path of a medicine cat.
There are only a few main characters in The Sight. Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw are all protagonists. Other notable characters are Leafpool, the medicine cat, and the protagonists parents, Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. There are no main character antagonists.
The main situations are the three protagonists finding their paths within the clan, and making peace with ShadowClan and WindClan about the amount of cats in ThunderClan that are not forest born. All other situations are minor, and not constant throughout the book.
