A Dangerous Path - Summary

This week I have the theme, characters, and situation summary for A Dangerous Path.

The theme is very strong throughout A Dangerous Path. It is explored through many characters losing loyalty, changing loyalties, finding loyalty, or having divided loyalties. The rouges that ran with Tigerstar have loyalty to him and ShadowClan. Bluestar has no loyalty towards StarClan or her cats, until the end of the book. She is also loyal to her kits. Fireheart has divided loyalties between Bluestar, and the whole clan. He also feels a strong loyalty to Sandstorm. Greystripe betrays RiverClan because of the loyalty he feels to ThunderClan. After he changes clans, he is still loyal to his kits. Darkstripe is more loyal to Tigerclaw than he is to ThunderClan.

The main characters in A Dangerous Path are Fireheart, the protagonist; Greystripe, Fireheart’s best friend; Tigerstar, the main antagonist; Darkstripe, Tigerstar’s closest ally; and Bluestar, ThunderClan’s leader.

The main situations in the book are Bluestar’s downward spiral into depression and paranoia, Tigerstar strengthening ShadowClan and regularly getting with Leopardfur/star, and his attempt to destroy ThunderClan with a dog pack living in their territory.
