The Forgotten Warrior - Summary

Here is the summary essay for book five in Omen Of The Stars series of 'Warriors', The Forgotten Warrior.

The main theme in The Forgotten Warrior is loyalty. You can be loyal to single people, a group of people, or an idea or set of values. The book also looks at how you can be torn between your loyalties to multiples of these at once, and it’s not always clear where your strongest loyalties should lay. Several siblings feel bonds to one another: Dovewing and Ivypool, as sisters. Dawnpelt to her dead brother, and Tigerheart To her as his sister. And Lionblaze and Jayfeather to Hollyleaf, wen she returns.Ivypool becomes concerned when she notices cats seem to show more loyalty to their Dark Forest clan mates by not attacking them, than their true clan mates in the waking world. Sol is firmly loyal to his ideas that the clans morals are worth nothing, and that they should be destroyed. At the end of the book Hollyleaf states that cats must be loyal to the Warrior Code above all else, and this is the one thing that binds all the clans together, which Dovewing believes is the only way to save them from the Dark Forest.
The man characters in The Forgotten Warrior include the protagonists Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing, and Ivypool, who also plays a pivotal role. Hollyleaf is also important in the second half. Sol is the main antagonist, along with the WindClan cats he convinces to attack ThunderClan. The two remaining siblings of Flametail also create an ongoing problem throughout the book. Other characters are secondary or minor in the story.
